Job summary

Sysco is seeking a professional driver to transport goods from the warehouse to customers across regions, following routes, and maintaining safety and accuracy in all deliveries.

This long-haul role requires a valid Class A CDL, the ability to operate a tractor-trailer over long distances, and strong communication for bill of ladings and customer service. Overnight travel, weekends, and varying start times are common; eligibility for the Incentive Plan is noted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
• Completion of tractor-trailer driving school accepted in addition to diploma.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports product from the warehouse to customer locations per route and maintains timely deliveries.
• Completes DOT logs, inspections, maintenance reports and bill of ladings accurately.
• Maintains food safety protocols and proper temperatures in the vehicle.
• Communicates route or loading issues to management and adheres to safety guidelines.
• Works assigned schedule, including overnight, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
