Job summary

Sysco Illinois is seeking a driven tractor-trailer driver to transport products from the warehouse to customer locations. The role includes long-haul trips to PA, FL, OH and other states, with 2–3 days out at a time, adhering to DOT logs, safety rules, and customer service standards.

You will operate a 3-axle tractor with a 45- to 48-foot trailer, read route instructions, and ensure compliance with weight and safety regulations while maintaining professional communication with customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree.
• Completion of a tractor-trailer driving school accepted in addition to high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports product from the warehouse to the customer location and ensures timely delivery.
• Completes all required logs and paperwork per DOT and company guidelines.
• Maintains food safety protocols and safe operation of equipment.
• Communicates route or loading issues to management promptly.
• Works scheduled hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
