Job summary

Sysco is seeking a capable driver to transport product from our warehouse to customer sites, normally on long-haul routes to PA, FL, OH and neighboring states. The role involves nights and multi-day trips, with adherence to DOT regulations and safety policies.

The position requires a valid Class A CDL and the ability to operate a tractor-trailer, manage paperwork, and communicate clearly with customers and dispatch. Overnight travel and weekend shifts are common.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
• Completion of tractor-trailer driving school accepted in lieu of or with diploma.
• Valid Class A CDL and insurability required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports product from the warehouse to customer locations on schedule.
• Complete DOT logs, inspections, and trip reports accurately and on time.
• Maintain proper temperatures and follow food-safety protocols.
• Communicate route issues to management and adjust as needed.
• Operate equipment and assist with loading/unloading per instructions.
