Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Etna, OH is seeking a Logistics Manager in our Supply Chain Solutions division. The role emphasizes managing all activities for efficient account operation, including P&L responsibility, customer satisfaction, compliance, and safety.

The position requires leading both salaried and hourly staff, collaborating with senior management and customers, and overseeing payroll and reporting. A strong background in transportation/logistics and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• 2+ years of managing and leading direct reports.
• Excellent knowledge of transportation and/or warehouse logistics operations (advanced).
• Excellent knowledge of safety and security requirements (advanced).

Responsibilities

• Manage salaried and hourly employees under your responsibility and ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborate with senior management and customers to determine needs and meet demands.
• Be responsible for payroll of employees.
• Analyze weekly/monthly P&L and provide financial data and reports to senior management.
• Handle accounts payable, vendor quotes, and customer invoicing.
• Hold safety and security meetings and provide safety training and ensure compliance.
