J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Manager II to lead direct driver management for midsize fleets, ensuring safe, on-time freight movement and DOT compliance.

This role requires flexible scheduling across day, night, and weekend shifts, strong leadership, and accountability for operational performance, profitability, and customer service. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data-driven decision making is expected.

• Experience analyzing fleet operations and profitability to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with drivers and safety to minimize turnover.
• Fill in for absent personnel and support fleet optimization projects.
• Train drivers and staff on systems and procedures.
• Analyze fleet operations, KPIs, and profitability; present reports to customers.
• Manage yard operations, repairs, and preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Resolve service, routing, and on-call issues with drivers, customers, and staff.
• Ensure DOT compliance and enforce safety policies.
