J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Manager to directly manage midsize driver teams, ensuring safe, on-time freight movement and exceptional customer service. The role requires coordinating load assignments, compliance with DOT regulations, and adapting to day, night, or weekend shifts to meet demand.

The candidate will develop driver training, monitor performance, and collaborate with customers and internal teams to optimize fleet operations and profitability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 2–3 years of experience in transportation/logistics or related fields.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and weekends as needed.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and safety to minimize turnover and maximize productivity.
• Fill in for absent personnel and support special projects to optimize fleet operations.
• Train and orient drivers and staff on internal and third-party systems.
• Analyze fleet operations, measure KPIs, and present reporting and financial analysis to customers.
• Manage yard and equipment, coordinate maintenance, and ensure safety compliance.
