Job summary

Crane is seeking a logistics coordinator to manage domestic shipments, prepare essential documents, and route packages efficiently. You will negotiate carrier rates, support the broker with import duties, and audit freight bills to ensure accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in logistics, 2+ years with motor carriers or freight forwarders, and a high school diploma or GED; a 4-year degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills and client service are essential.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred for advancement.
• Experience with motor carriers and freight forwarders is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare domestic documents for shipments (airline bills, BOLs, declarations, NAFTA).
• Route shipments and select cost/time optimal transportation modes.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and couriers for domestic shipments.
• Assist broker with import documentation and tracking for imports into the U.S.
• Audit freight bills for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
