Island Deliveries in Minnesota is seeking a dynamic Logistics Coordinator to partner with the Logistics Director. The role combines executive assistance with frontline operations, overseeing daily activities and ensuring reliable service.

You will lead staffing and training, maintain safety compliance per DOT rules, manage communications with department heads and accounts, and handle Excel-based reporting while supporting after-hours calls as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of DOT safety practices and regulations.
• Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
• Proficiency in budget procedures and financial management.
• Ability to work flexible hours in office and be willing to take calls at home during evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with staff and customers alike.
• A commitment to training and development for team members to enhance their skills and career progression.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staffing, training, and development of team members.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Supervise daily operations, including shift management, to ensure smooth service
• Develop strategies for improving operational efficiency
• Foster a positive team culture that encourages collaboration, motivation, and professional growth.
• Ensure communications from the Logistics Director are sent to other department heads and our accounts.
• Manage Excel sheets and respond to emails
