Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc in New Jersey is seeking an experienced logistics professional to lead day-to-day operations and supervise the logistics team. You will oversee inbound/outbound shipments, ensure policy adherence, and coach staff for performance.

The role covers domestic transportation execution, carrier/3PL relationship management, and driving process improvements with a focus on cost control, service levels, and system usage (TMS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-8 years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
• Experience coordinating domestic and/or international shipments, including exposure to import/export processes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day direction and support to logistics team members.
• Monitor daily inbound and outbound shipment activities to ensure timely execution and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Support team development through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Support the implementation and day-to-day execution of domestic transportation processes and planning/forecasting activities.
• Assist in managing relationships with carriers and third-party logistics providers; participate in carrier performance reviews and monitor service levels, costs, and effectiveness.
• Contribute to logistics improvement initiatives, including network optimization and standardization; support ongoing efforts to improve efficiency, cost control, and service levels across locations.
