Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in Livonia, MI, seeks an experienced Senior Operations Supervisor to lead hourly teams and drive daily tasks, from driver deliveries to loading/unloading, cross docking and customer service.

You will supervise scheduling, review orders, manage safety and compliance, and partner with location leadership to optimize costs and service levels. Strong communication, problem solving, and hands-on leadership are essential; travel to support operations may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years related functional experience in logistics or operations.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and organizational abilities are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required; ability to learn site systems.

Responsibilities

• Communicate performance standards, interview hourly associates, and recommend hiring decisions.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance; provide counseling or recognition as needed.
• Supervise logistics operations including customer service, dispatch, loading/unloading, and documentation.
• Evaluate and improve dispatch/warehouse work methods to boost productivity; ensure accurate records.
