Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a single location, directing hourly staff and ensuring customer requirements are met while aligning with Penske goals. The role emphasizes inventory control, cycle counting, and accurate documentation, with supervision of processes and participation in hiring and meetings.

The role requires strong communication, ownership, and problem-solving abilities, plus experience with inventory systems.

Qualifications

• Strong written/oral communication skills and the ability to actively listen are required.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
• Must have ability to connect and build rapport with associates and external customers at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to hourly workforce to ensure execution of daily tasks and activities including inventory control, cycle counting, stock accuracy, and customer service operations.
• Supervise processes including inventory management, workforce and equipment scheduling, and documentation control.
• Participate in hiring process and customer meetings as necessary.
• Conduct team meetings and provide coaching to improve attendance and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures and manage overtime to meet productivity targets.
