Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking a Supply Chain Assistant in Irvine, CA on-site. The role supports daily import/export, order processing, and customer service. It involves coordination with plants, brokers, carriers, and freight forwarders to ensure on-time orders and shipments.

Qualifications

• Basic to intermediate Excel skills including data entry, sorting, filtering
• Proactive and willing to take initiative when handling tasks
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Able to learn new systems, procedures, and logistics processes
• Japanese bilingual skills is a plus

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders, container orders, invoices, and related documents
• Communicate with customers regarding orders, shipments, documentation, and delivery status
• Coordinate with manufacturing plants to confirm order details and follow up on issues
• Work with customs brokers to provide required documents and support import/export procedures
• Track shipments and communicate with carriers and freight forwarders to monitor delivery progress
• Follow up on delays, order issues, or other concerns and coordinate solutions
• Maintain accurate records of orders, shipments, invoices, and other logistics transactions
• Track freight charges and other logistics-related costs
• Assist with inventory tracking and control
• Enter and update information in databases and internal systems
• Assist with basic data analysis and reporting
• Support other administrative and logistics-related tasks as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
