Job summary

Assurant is seeking a Logistics Control Specialist in Irving, TX to support outbound shipments, orders and materials. This role liaises with internal and external customers to ensure timely, accurate devices shipping, using multiple sales platforms and systems.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years in Shipping/Receiving or Distribution, strong communication, and data handling skills. Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–5 pm, on-site at our Irving facility with daily collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in Shipping/Receiving/Distribution/Materials or related environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal/external customers.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure.
• Proficient with MS Office and database systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shipping documents (labels, bills of lading, commercial invoices).
• Monitor system dashboards and resolve issues to keep data current.
• Communicate with buyers/customers about weights, dimensions, and shipping status.
• Investigate and resolve issues blocking shipments, orders or materials.
• Coordinate with internal/external networks to resolve order changes or shortages.
• Schedule pickups with freight carriers for outbound and inbound shipments.
• Input material movement transactions into databases.
• Train/mentor associates as needed.
• Escalate issues to leadership when outside scope.
