Job summary

Assurant, Inc. in Irving, TX seeks a Receiving Supervisor to oversee a team in our DFW facility. You will plan schedules, assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure safe, efficient warehouse operations while driving accuracy in receiving and inventory control.

Onsite role with Monday–Friday schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Strong leadership and communication are essential to coordinate with managers, vendors, and staff while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have HS Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience with small electronics repair.
• 3+ years in a leadership role in a fast-paced manufacturing/repair environment similar to Assurant, York, Lewisville or Tennessee facility.
• Strong knowledge and abilities with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Prior experience in a warehouse, shipping, receiving or related environment.
• Ability to identify potential process and workflow improvements.
• Demonstrated experience with direct supervision and coaching of others.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to interface with all levels of Company personnel and external personnel.
• High energy professional with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Interpersonal skills for problem solving and conflict resolution.
• Driven, goal-oriented, and results-focused.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic assembly and logistics environment.
• May be required to work across multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to company policies and process standards, while maintaining employee morale and overseeing training.
• Work with manager to establish department and company goals and rely on experience, managerial judgment, and innovation to achieve them.
• Drive process improvements and coordinate new product introductions.
• Act as liaison between teams, shifts, supervisors and departments, and partner with vendor / customer / client representatives.
• Accomplish supervisory and human resource objectives such as hiring, performance reviews, mentoring/coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Manage the team training matrix to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Review Tableau reports to ensure department performance metrics are met.
• Drive engagement across area of responsibility and foster a strong engagement culture.
• Review Peakon scores and create action plans.
• Meet production operational standards by implementing production, productivity and quality standards.
• Work with site leadership to resolve problems and identify process improvements.
• Meet production financial standards by controlling and minimizing production expenses.
• Monitor production performance and ensure daily shift production reports are completed on time.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and regulations.
• Conduct periodic one-on-one meetings with associates to review performance and provide feedback/coaching monthly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
