Qualifications

• Prior dispatching or logistics experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with drivers, clients, and team.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with TMS software; McLeod experience preferred.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.
• Resilience and patience handling diverse personalities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and Schedule Shipments: Plan and assign loads and coordinate driver schedules for time-sensitive deliveries.
• Maintain Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between drivers, customers, and suppliers, relaying shipment details and updates as needed.
• Monitor Shipments: Track the status of shipments to ensure on-time delivery and address issues during transit.
• Ensure Compliance: Review drivers' logs and maintain records to ensure adherence to state and federal transportation regulations.
• Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues or emergencies that occur during transit to minimize delays.
• After-Hours Commitment: Participate in the on-call rotation - on call availability for one week every 3 weeks.
