Job summary

ProTrans in Eagle Pass, TX is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to coordinate movement of customer materials through our Service Center Network. The role includes scheduling, dispatching, documentation, and customer liaison across local pickups and deliveries.

The position requires strong data entry, reporting, and coordination with planning to manage outbound volume, with emphasis on providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of database software, internet software, inventory software, order processing systems, spreadsheet software and word processing software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, schedules, and dispatches of all service requirements from local pickups through deliveries.
• Must be direct liaison between dock operations and internal / external customer.
• Responsible for tracking, data input, and reporting of information to external and internal customers.
• Responsible for inter-company and intra-company communication.
• Works with planning group on coordinating facility outbound volume.
• Provides customer service to internal and external customers.
• Prepare all inbound and outbound documentation.
• Additional clerical duties as assigned.
• Validation and verification of materials on dock to include labeling, pulling packing slips, moving boxes, opening boxes.
• Generate reports providing Dock Coordinator’s with the critical shipping information.
• This job may require overseeing of loading activities (varies by center).
