Job summary

Pro Trans International in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to coordinate movement of customer materials through our Service Center Network. The role focuses on dock operations, data entry, and reporting to customers and internal teams.

The ideal candidate will handle inbound/outbound documentation, coordinate outbound volume with planning, and provide reliable service to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, schedules, and dispatches service requirements from local pickups through deliveries.
• Must be direct liaison between dock operations and internal / external customer
• Responsible for tracking, data input, and reporting of information to external and internal customers
• Responsible for inter-company and intra-company communication.
• Works with planning group on coordinating facility outbound volume
• Provides customer service to internal and external customers
• Prepare all inbound and outbound documentation
• Additional clerical duties as assigned
• Validation and verification of materials on dock to include labeling, pulling packing slips, moving boxes, opening boxes
• Generate reports providing Dock Coordinators' with the critical shipping information
• This job may require overseeing of loading activities (varies by center).
