Job summary

ProTrans in Laredo, TX seeks a Shipping & Receiving Specialist to coordinate movement of materials from suppliers through the Service Center Network. You will dispatch service requirements and maintain liaison between dock operations and customers.

Responsibilities include tracking data, reporting to customers, preparing inbound/outbound documents, and providing excellent service. 1–2 years of related experience preferred; English is required with bilingual Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED; associate degree preferred but not required.
1–2 years related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

Coordinates, schedules, and dispatches all service requirements from local pickups through deliveries.
Must be direct liaison between dock operations and internal/external customers.
Responsible for tracking, data input, and reporting of information to external and internal customers.
Responsible for inter‑company and intra‑company communication.
Works with planning group on coordinating facility outbound volume.
Provides customer service to internal and external customers.
Prepares all inbound and outbound documentation.
Additional clerical duties as assigned.
Validates and verifies materials on dock to include labeling, pulling packing slips, moving boxes, opening boxes.
Generates reports providing Dock Coordinators with the critical shipping information.
May oversee loading activities (varies by center).
