Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or related operations.
• Working knowledge of transportation operations, carrier processes, freight terminology and documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/TMS systems; Oracle/JDE experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule shipments to meet customer delivery requirements and facility shipping schedules.
• Assign shipments to approved carriers using routing guides, carrier agreements, and procedures.
• Monitor shipments from scheduled pickup through confirmed delivery.
• Maintain shipment status, routing information, freight charges, and documentation in designated systems.
• Escalate carrier service failures and transportation exceptions to the National Freight Manager.
• Communicate shipment status and delays to Customer Service, Sales, Manufacturing, Planning, and Operations.
