Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in transportation, logistics, or related operations.
• Working knowledge of transportation operations, carrier processes, freight terminology, and freight documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP/TMS systems; Oracle/JDE experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel approximately 5% to 10%, as required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule shipments to meet customer delivery requirements and facility shipping schedules.
• Assign shipments to approved carriers using routing guides, carrier agreements, and transportation procedures.
• Monitor shipments from scheduled pickup through confirmed delivery and maintain shipment status.
• Maintain shipment documentation and carrier records required for shipment execution and freight invoice validation.
• Escalate carrier service failures, delays, and exceptions to the National Freight Manager; communicate status to stakeholders.
