Job summary

Rehrig Pacific Company, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage daily transportation activities across facilities, including shipment scheduling, carrier assignment, and tracking.

The role requires coordination with internal teams and carriers to ensure on-time delivery and accurate documentation. The ideal candidate has at least two years in logistics, strong communication skills, and proficiency with ERP/TMS systems such as JDE or Oracle.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in transportation, logistics, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience in transportation, logistics, or related operations.
• Working knowledge of transportation operations, carrier processes, freight terminology, and freight documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP/TMS systems; Oracle/JDE experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication for internal/external coordination.
• Ability to work independently within guidelines and escalate when needed.
• Willingness to travel approximately 5–10%.

Responsibilities

• Schedule shipments to meet customer delivery requirements and facility shipping schedules.
• Assign shipments to approved carriers using routing guides and procedures.
• Monitor shipments from pickup to delivery and maintain accurate status and documentation.
• Escalate service or capacity issues to the National Freight Manager as needed.
• Communicate shipment schedules and status to carriers and internal stakeholders.
