Job summary

ProTrans is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to coordinate the movement of customer materials from suppliers through the Service Center Network. The role involves scheduling, dispatching, and documenting shipments, acting as a liaison between dock operations and customers, and ensuring accurate reporting.

You will track information, prepare inbound/outbound documentation, and support clerical tasks while coordinating with planning groups to manage outbound volume.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of multiple software systems used for logistics and documentation.
• Ability to write reports and procedures in English.
• Two years related experience or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, schedules, and dispatches service requirements from pickups through deliveries.
• Acts as liaison between dock operations and internal/external customers.
• Tracks, inputs, and reports information to customers.
• Maintains inter-company and intra-company communication.
• Coordinates outbound volume with planning groups.
• Provides customer service to internal and external customers.
• Prepares inbound and outbound documentation.
• Performs additional clerical duties as assigned.
• Verifies materials on dock including labeling and packing slips.
• Generates reports with critical shipping information.
• Oversees loading activities as required by center.
