Job summary

Rehrig is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage daily transportation activities across facilities, including scheduling, carrier assignment, and shipment tracking. The role requires coordination with internal teams and strict adherence to procedures to ensure on-time delivery.

Candidates should have at least two years of logistics experience, an associate or bachelor's degree, and proficiency with ERP/TMS systems. Travel of about 5–10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or related operations.
• Minimum of two years of experience in transportation, logistics, or related operations.
• Working knowledge of transportation operations, carrier processes, freight terminology, and freight documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/TMS systems; Oracle/JDE experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule shipments to meet customer delivery requirements and facility shipping schedules.
• Assign shipments to approved carriers using routing guides and procedures.
• Monitor shipments from scheduled pickup through delivery confirmation.
• Maintain accurate shipment status, routing information, and transportation records.
• Escalate carrier service failures and delays to the National Freight Manager.
• Communicate shipment schedules and status to internal teams.
• Apply approved freight rates and routing instructions for transportation services.
• Maintain carrier records and documentation for invoicing and compliance.
