Job summary

Nippon Express USA is seeking a logistics coordinator to support operations across customer service, warehouse and transportation teams. The role focuses on coordinating loading plans, shipping schedules, and carrier bookings within a large logistics network.

The position requires strong analytical ability, knowledge of logistics concepts and DOT/ICC regulations, plus proficient MS Office skills. You will interact with branch colleagues and vendors in a sedentary office setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or significant/relevant work experience.
• Approximately 5 years department or industry experience.
• Analytical skill with familiarity in logistics concepts.
• Knowledge of international commerce, sales/payment terms, and regulations.
• Knowledge of Consolidator systems.
• Knowledge of DOT, state, federal and ICC regulations.
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate 50% between customer service, branches and warehouse.
• Manage 20% CFS storage, loading plan.
• Execute general assignments as needed (30%).
• Coordinate loading and shipping plans with customer service, arrange trucking, ensure safety, and record information.
• Communicate with internal/external sources to secure information.
• Provide general business support including onboard tracking with carriers and making bookings.
• Set up GPS for each trailer and manage GPS inventory.
• Update vendor rates and work profiles.
• Handle other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Display strong teamwork, communication, and process improvement.
