Job summary

Expeditors seeks a Logistics Coordinator to identify and understand customers' transportation needs. You will receive, book, and schedule transportation orders ensuring timely movement of freight and information, with a strong emphasis on customer service and problem solving.

The role requires collaboration with carriers and Expeditors offices, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Transportation, logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service for internal and external customers.
• Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, and Expeditors offices.
• Proactively communicate shipment updates, exceptions, and solutions.
• Review shipment requirements and transportation needs.
• Create and process domestic transportation shipments.
• Coordinate freight movement and monitor shipments from pickup through delivery.
• Resolve shipment exceptions and service issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain compliance with operational and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate data entry into Expeditors operating systems.
• Monitor exception reports and resolve data discrepancies.
• Process customer invoicing accurately and promptly.
• Verify carrier costs and ensure proper billing provisions.
