Job summary

Expeditors International in Tennessee is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to identify and understand customers' transportation needs. You will receive, book, and schedule transportation orders, ensuring timely and accurate freight movement while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will prepare documentation, load shipment data, dispatch freight, communicate with customers and vendors, monitor reports, and manage invoicing in line with SOPs and tariffs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, handle, and process documentation including air waybills and regulatory documents.
• Update and load shipment information into the operating system timely and accurately.
• Timely freight dispatch to avoid disruptions in the customer's supply chain.
• Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and Expeditors network via email, phone, IM.
• Review and monitor reports to understand performance and improvement opportunities.
• Execute invoicing according to SOPs, rate shells, and tariffs.
• Maintain vendor relationships with airlines, trucking companies, and others.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Meet KPIs in support of department, branch, product, and company goals.
• Understand department processes and seek opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Escalate problems or decisions to management per guidelines when necessary.
