Job summary

Ruan Transportation Management Systems, Inc. in Des Moines, IA, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support the Brokerage Team with dispatching and track-and-trace activities. This role blends on-site and remote work in a hybrid schedule, with a Monday–Friday day shift.

The successful candidate will manage dispatching calls with drivers, monitor in-transit status, and communicate deviations to ensure service expectations are met. HS diploma and related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Course of Study: Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing, Business, Finance, or Related Field
• Experience: Brokerage, customer service, operations, sales
• Must meet behavior and integrity expectations and align with guiding principles

Responsibilities

• Dispatching activities including driver communications and deviations from plan.
• Track and Trace of pickups, in-transit, and load movements with timely data entry.
• Respond to customer status emails and maintain status updates.
• Ensure driver compliance using Track and Trace platforms (Macro Point, 4Kites, Trucker Tools, etc.).
• Learn driver/carrier lane preferences and share with Brokers and Carrier Development.
• Monitor detention and communicate with CSRs, Account Manager, and Broker-of-Record.

This position offers hybrid schedule with mix of on-site work at the downtown Des Moines campus and remote work

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: Day Shift

Logistics Coordinator is responsible for dispatching and track and trace activities that support the Brokerage Team in accomplishing planned transportation and communicating deviations as they occur to ensure service expectations are met.

Responsibilities:

Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are required functions. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Responsible for dispatching activities to include speaking with drivers prior to pick up and communicating know deviations from planned service to appropriate personnel
• Track and Trace pick-ups, in-transit, and emptying of loads, entering information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Replies to customer status emails.
• Responsible for Track and Trace compliance metrics (Macro Point, 4Kites, Trucker Tools, etc.), and must therefore be fluent in each platform's app and functionality to ensure driver compliance.
• Learn driver / carrier lane preferences and frequency and share info with Brokers + Carrier Development.
• Detention monitoring and communication to CSRs, Acct Manager, and Broker-of-Record.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
