Job summary

CLA is looking for a Controller with Logistics industry experience to join our CAAS practice based out of the Minneapolis, MN office. Develop internal control policies, coordinate budgeting and cash management, prepare financial statements, and advise management on financial objectives for client engagements.

Education: Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred but not required. 7 years of relevant accounting experience, with logistics background and QuickBooks proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; combination of related experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.
• 7 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, logistics background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal control policies and procedures for budget, cash, and accounting activities.
• Coordinate financial planning, budgeting, procurements, and investment activities.
• Prepare financial information and statements for regulatory and client needs.
• Advise management on financial objectives, policies, and actions.
• Communicate with boards, bankers, investors, and other stakeholders.
