Metafora Search is partnered with a logistics business seeking experienced Business Development Managers to drive growth across the US and Canada. This hands-on commercial role focuses on winning new customers, developing existing relationships, and identifying untapped opportunities.

You will prospect, manage your own pipeline, and negotiate to secure new business while collaborating with Logistics Coordinators to ensure a smooth freight lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years BD experience in logistics or transportation.
• Proven track record of winning new business.
• Hunter mindset with ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Confident managing priorities and adapting to change.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new customers through proactive prospecting and cold calling.
• Build and develop strong customer relationships, understanding their freight requirements and delivering tailored solutions.
• Manage a sales pipeline and achieve agreed sales activity and revenue targets.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new commercial partnerships.
• Negotiate with customers to secure new business.
• Work closely with Logistics Coordinators to ensure a smooth customer experience throughout the freight lifecycle.
