Job summary

Blue Water Shipping is seeking a Business Development Manager in the United States to win net-new freight forwarding business across the designated territory. You will lead end-to-end sales from prospecting to closure, develop a strong pipeline for importers/exporters in Food & Beverage, FMCG, and retail, and coordinate with global teams to deliver effective logistics solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of freight forwarding sales or related international logistics business-development experience.
• Proven performance in a net-new business development role with responsibility for new customer acquisition.
• Proficiency with CRM and reporting tools such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Power BI.
• Fluent English; Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, engage, qualify, and secure new customers within the assigned U.S. territory.
• Build a disciplined pipeline of importers/exporters in Food & Beverage, FMCG, retail, reefer, and general cargo markets.
• Sell ocean freight FCL/LCL, air freight, reefer logistics, and dry/general cargo solutions.
• Lead the full new-business sales cycle from prospecting to closing and handoff to operations.
• Develop relationships with decision-makers and logistics stakeholders to create executable solutions.
• Travel approximately 40% for meetings, events, and prospecting.
