Job summary

OnTrac is seeking an Area Manager to oversee section operations at the Bethel facility, driving efficiency and safety in sorting and linehaul flows. The role reports to the Operations Manager and requires strong leadership and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities include staffing, coaching, performance reviews, and implementing process improvements while maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of industry experience – (ex. logistics, shipping, 3PL) with at least 1 year of leadership experience.
• Ability to effectively evaluate and summarize data and present answers to questions.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with hiring, training, motivating, disciplining, and completing performance evaluations for employees.

Responsibilities

• Manage, staff and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area to ensure quality and safety.
• Monitor employee progress, provide ongoing feedback and address performance/attendance.
• Conduct pre-sort meetings and keep employees informed of daily goals and safety priorities.
• Record and manage the flow of volume from Linehauls and departures/arrivals.
• Execute administrative duties including safety training and end-of-shift reporting.
