Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana is seeking an Assistant Logistics Aftermarket Manager to lead transportation, warehousing, Attended Donation Centers, and outlet/salvage operations. You will direct flow of donated, purchased, and outlet items, drive staff development, and travel weekly to donation centers to ensure workflow and service standards are met.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of leadership in trucking, warehousing, and salvage operations.
• 3 years of leadership supervising other workers.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation rules and regulations and vehicle inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse, outlet/salvage, and transportation/logistics operations and supervise staff.
• Oversee flow of donated, purchased, and outlet/salvage merchandise between stores, donation centers, warehouses, outlets, and vendors.
• Hold staff accountable and take corrective action to meet goals, policies, and direction.
• Oversee and maintain the maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
• Ensure transportation safety regulations are followed to reduce accidents and insurance costs and ensure DOT compliance.
• Improve financial viability and sustainability of transportation, outlet/salvage, and warehousing departments.
• Enforce organizational standards regarding financial performance, quality, reliability, safety, and efficiency.
• Read and interpret financial and labor reports, salvage surveys, etc.
• Identify opportunities to reduce trash/waste expense.
• Assist sourcing and development of salvage and recycling opportunities.
• Interpret and uphold employer policies and safety regulations.
• Streamline the transportation schedule to support all locations (pickup/delivery, outlet, waste).
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics and operations across departments.
