Job summary

Odyssey Logistics is seeking a Logistics Account Specialist I in Lombard, IL. The role focuses on day-to-day management of assigned customer accounts and domestic shipments, serving as the primary contact for customers and service providers, and ensuring high levels of service throughout transportation.

You will proactively manage shipment activity, resolve issues, and support process improvements while working in a hybrid model with standard hours and minimal travel.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a similar role.
• Experience coordinating door-to-door shipments using rail and trucking providers preferred.
• Working knowledge of transportation terminology, documentation, processes, and principles.
• Strong customer service, organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned accounts and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and LSPs.
• Coordinate and monitor domestic shipments from tender through final delivery.
• Identify and resolve pickup, delivery, and in-transit exceptions.
• Develop service recovery solutions and communicate updates and options to customers.
