Job summary

Spear Transport LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage freight movements, coordinate schedules, and ensure timely deliveries. You’ll communicate with drivers, carriers, and customers to maintain high service levels and accurate documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring experience in logistics or dispatch, knowledge of freight and DOT regulations, and strong multitasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
• Experience in logistics or transportation operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily freight shipments, including scheduling pickups and deliveries.
• Communicate with drivers, carriers, and customers to ensure on-time performance.
• Track and monitor shipments to proactively address delays or issues.
• Prepare and maintain transportation documentation (BOLs, PODs, invoices, etc.).
• Negotiate with carriers and build strong relationships with vendors and partners.
• Optimize routes and loads to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Handle customer inquiries, provide shipment updates, and resolve service issues.
• Maintain accurate records in TMS (Transportation Management System).
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Support the operations team with reporting, analysis, and continuous process improvements.
