Job summary

Spear Transport LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage freight movement, schedules, and timely delivery of shipments. You will balance multiple priorities while delivering strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has experience in logistics/dispatch and is proficient with TMS and Microsoft Office, ready to collaborate with drivers, carriers, and customers to drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
• Experience in logistics, dispatch, or transportation operations preferred.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily freight shipments, including scheduling pickups and deliveries.
• Communicate with drivers, carriers, and customers to ensure on-time performance.
• Track and monitor shipments; address delays or issues.
• Prepare transportation documentation (BOLs, PODs, invoices, etc.).
• Negotiate with carriers and build relationships with vendors.
• Optimize routes and loads to reduce costs.
• Handle customer inquiries and provide shipment updates.
• Maintain records in the Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Support operations with reporting and process improvements.
