Job summary

Target Hospitality seeks a Chef III to lead the lodge kitchen, oversee menu planning, inventory, and food safety compliance, and develop the kitchen team in a remote setting. This hourly role demands culinary excellence and strong leadership to deliver high-quality guest experiences during demanding rotations.

You will train staff, manage schedules, run daily meetings, and ensure ServSafe certification is maintained on every shift.

Qualifications

• 3+ years culinary experience, preferably in remote camp or hotel/hospitality.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
• Food safety certification is an asset; First aid certification is an asset.
• Ability to work in a team, with or without supervision, and travel for long rotations.
• Must pass background check and urinalysis; provide transportation to facility.

Responsibilities

• Train new hire kitchen staff on current processes and policies.
• Educate staff on up-to-date food safety regulations and health codes.
• Recruitment support through staffing management and interviewing candidates.
• Define work schedules and responsibilities for direct reports.
• Run daily staff meetings and complete quarterly reviews.
• Plan menus with in-stock items; manage inventory and FIFO stock rotation.
• Prepare meals and cater to guests' tastes; maintain ServSafe certification on shifts.
