First Merchants Bank is seeking a Lockbox Specialist to join our team in Indiana. This role handles, processes, and balances lockbox payments for business clients, ensuring accuracy and timely settlement.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least two years of operations or processing experience, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years operations, processing, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle, process, and balance lockbox payments for business clients.
• Serve as backup to Team Lead when necessary.
• Resolve processing errors with vendors, internal customers, and clients.
• Prepare lockbox transactions and scan mail into processing equipment.
• Complete queues of work in lockbox application, including data keying, balancing, name verification, and exception handling.
• Review batches for accuracy prior to transmission and build/verify/transmit files.
• Escalate issues to Team Lead and Management as needed.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on testing new clients.
• Ensure all work is completed on time based on SLAs.
• Assist Items Processing team with production work.
