Job summary

Intuit seeks dedicated TurboTax Local Service Experts to serve at local TurboTax locations across the United States. You will provide hands-on tax preparation, expert advice, and software support while connecting clients with the broader Intuit ecosystem for year-round financial services.

Qualifications

• EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) as required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software. Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday, for a minimum of 20 hours per week. Operating hours are subject to change and will likely scale up during periods of peak customer demand, such as tax season
• Must be willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business including, but not limited to, compliance training, proficiency‑based up‑skilling, cross‑training of other products or offerings, and professional development. Training requirements are subject to change based on business needs and the company reserves the right to introduce additional requirements at any time
• Must be willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms. Must be willing to use your name, picture for advertising on goggle.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax‑related content and resources for your community in accordance with Intuit’s policies
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing

Responsibilities

• Provide Tax Expertise - Give hands‑on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations (e.g., personal and business income, deductions optimization, amendments). Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice.
• Be a Proactive Community Ambassador - Embody a “community ambassador” and “business owner” mindset to actively build and grow a new local customer base for TurboTax. As a primary driver of local growth, you will own your market - identifying and pursuing prospects through targeted outreach, grass‑roots marketing initiatives, referral networks, and community partnerships.
• Champion the Full Intuit Ecosystem - Act as a trusted guide for every client by developing a deep understanding of their complete financial picture and connecting them with the Intuit solutions best positioned to move them forward.
• Build Relationships - Connect with people, demonstrate understanding and sensitivity to their financial concerns and build the long‑term trust that turns a one‑time transaction into a loyal, multi‑year relationship.
• Deliver a Best in Class Customer Experience - Create an exceptional customer experience, professionalism, and genuine interest in helping clients achieve their financial goals (e.g., saving for retirement, college funds, weddings, or vacations). Interact with customers both in‑person and through Intuit’s state‑of‑the‑art video communication tools.
