Job summary

Intuit is hiring a TurboTax Local Service Expert to deliver on-site tax preparation and advisory services at a local TurboTax location. You will work with both in-person and virtual clients, building a complete financial picture and connecting clients to Intuit’s broader services.

You’ll engage with the community to grow the client base, provide excellent customer service, and collaborate with tax, bookkeeping, payroll, and financial planning teams to offer end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications

• EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) as required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software. Familiarity with Circular 230
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations (e.g., personal and business income, deductions optimization, amendments).
• Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice.
• Grow TurboTax’s local client base through outreach, referrals, and community partnerships.
• Connect clients to bookkeeping, payroll, and financial planning services as needed.
• Deliver an exceptional, professional customer experience in person and via Intuit’s video tools.
