Job summary

Intuit is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our TurboTax Local Service Expert team at a TurboTax location in the United States. You will provide hands-on tax advice, prepare returns, and collaborate with a network of specialists to deliver an end-to-end Intuit experience in-person and virtually.

Qualifications

• EA/CPA/Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software; familiarity with Circular 230.
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit.
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, for a minimum of 20 hours per week; hours may scale during peak periods.
• Must be willing to complete all required training and development as determined by the business; training requirements may change.
• Must be willing to wear Intuit uniforms and participate in advertising using your name/picture.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating tax‑related content and resources.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities and maximize refunds.
• Develop a deep understanding of clients' complete financial picture and connect them with Intuit solutions.
• Grow TurboTax’s local client base through targeted outreach, events, and partnerships.
• Collaborate with a broader team of specialists to deliver end-to-end service.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience both in person and via video tools.
