Job summary

Intuit seeks motivated individuals to join our TurboTax Local Service Expert team at a U.S. TurboTax location, delivering hands-on tax preparation and expert advice to individuals and small businesses.

You will work onsite, build local client relationships, and collaborate with a network of tax and advisory specialists to grow the local TurboTax client base through community outreach and partnerships.

Qualifications

• EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) as required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software. Familiarity with Circular 230
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday, for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Must be willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business including, but not limited to, compliance training, proficiency‑based up‑skilling, cross‑training of other products or offerings, and professional development.
• Must be willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms. Must be willing to use your name, picture for advertising on goggle.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax‑related content and resources for your community in accordance with Intuit’s policies
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing

Responsibilities

• Provide Tax Expertise - Give hands‑on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations (e.g., personal and business income, deductions optimization, amendments). Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice.
• Be a Proactive Community Ambassador - Embodily a “community ambassador” and “business owner” mindset to actively build and grow a new local customer base for TurboTax. Identify and pursue prospects through targeted outreach, grass‑roots marketing, referrals, and partnerships.
• Champion the Full Intuit Ecosystem - Develop understanding of clients' complete financial picture and connect them with Intuit solutions (bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, etc.). Build relationships through tax engagements and client meetings to provide year‑round support.
• Build Relationships - Connect with people, demonstrate understanding and sensitivity to financial concerns, and build long‑term trust for multi‑year relationships.
• Deliver a Best in Class Customer Experience - Create an exceptional customer experience, professionalism, and genuine interest in helping clients achieve financial goals; interact in person and via Intuit video tools.
