Job summary

Intuit seeks a TurboTax Local Service Expert to provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation for clients at a local TurboTax location. You will collaborate with a team of specialists to address complex tax scenarios and grow a local client base through outreach and events.

You will build long-term relationships, deliver end-to-end Intuit experiences, and participate in marketing efforts to expand the local presence of TurboTax within the community.

Qualifications

• EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Have an active PTIN as required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software. Familiarity with Circular 230
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday, for a minimum of 20 hours per week
• Must be willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business including compliance training, up-skilling, cross-training, and professional development
• Must be willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms and be used in advertising
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax-related content and resources for your community
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice.
• Work with specialists across bookkeeping, payroll, and advisory services to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Grow TurboTax’s local client base through outreach, referrals, and community partnerships.
• Lead local events like financial literacy workshops and networking gatherings with marketing support.
