Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking experienced TurboTax Local Service Experts to deliver on-site tax preparation and advisory services across the United States. You will serve clients in person and virtually, helping navigate complex tax scenarios while coordinating with specialists in bookkeeping, payroll, and financial planning.

You’ll act as a trusted guide, growing the local TurboTax client base and fostering client loyalty through community engagement and personalized service.

Qualifications

• EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) as required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software.Familiarity with Circular 230
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Must be willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business including, but not limited to, compliance training, proficiency‑based up‑skilling, cross‑training of other products or offerings, and professional development.
• Must be willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms and use your name/picture for advertising.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax‑related content for your community
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations and performing tax reviews.
• Facilitate discovery sessions to uncover deductions, minimize liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future planning advice.
• Utilize government resources, professional tools, and team expertise to deliver accurate tax solutions in everyday language.
• Act as a community ambassador to grow a local TurboTax client base through outreach, events, and partnerships.
• Own your market by identifying prospects via referrals, grassroots marketing, and local events with marketing support from TurboTax.
• Connect clients with Intuit solutions such as bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, or Credit Karma to address broader needs.
• Deliver a best-in-class customer experience, building long-term trust and managing in-person and virtual engagements.
