Job summary

Jasper Ventures, Inc. in Whitehouse, TX, is seeking an IT Specialist (Local) to provide hands-on day-to-day IT support at the corporate office. Responsibilities include helpdesk, asset management, and maintaining networks and servers to keep operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree and at least two years of experience, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and the ability to work across sites including construction deployments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science, information technology, or similar field.
• At least two years of experience in a similar IT support role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line IT support to internal staff via phone, email, or in-person.
• Manage and monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records.
• Assist with the maintenance of network infrastructure, including data centre, network equipment, servers, and software applications.
• Respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk.
• Document internal procedures, user guides, and IT-related instructions.
• Assist with network and hardware troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Collaborate with IT Administrator to ensure smooth deployment of new and upgraded systems.
• Maintain user PCs, printers, servers, and other hardware technologies.
• Coordinate with vendors for the repair of system malfunctions that are beyond the scope of internal capability.
