Job summary

BlueLinx is seeking a Class A CDL driver to join our team in Portland, ME. You will be responsible for the safe, timely delivery of freight, handling customer returns, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation.

Expect home every night and weekend, first shift hours, and modern equipment. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, life insurance, 401K, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum age 21+.
• 12 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Must maintain a Safe Driving Record.
• Ability to securely strap/anchor loads.
• Ability to operate in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Secure loads properly; no tarping, use straps.
• Deliver freight accurately and on time; handle product returns when required.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and resolve issues.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and complete required DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct unloading by customers when required.

What You’ll Deliver

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issuesMaintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required

How You’ll Deliver
