Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is seeking drivers to join our team. You’ll be responsible for securing loads (no tarping), timely delivery of freight, and handling customer returns. You will manage PODs, maintain safety checks, and complete DOT inspections.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, minimum 21 years old, and 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years. We offer first-shift hours, a home-nightly schedule, and a strong benefits package.

• Valid Class A CDL is required.

Responsibilities

• Secure loads properly (no tarping, tie-downs and strapping).
• Deliver freight accurately and on time; handle customer product returns when required.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate issues.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct unloading by customers when required.

What You’ll Deliver

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issuesMaintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required

How You’ll Deliver

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 21 years of age
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years
• Safe Driving Record
• Ability to secure loads
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
