Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation in Nashville, TN is seeking Class A CDL truck drivers to join our fleet. Enjoy consistent home time, a starting pay of $29.51 per hour, and modern equipment as you securely transport freight and manage deliveries.

You’ll complete DOT inspections, maintain logs, and interact professionally with customers while handling loads with strap methods (no tarping). Benefits include medical/dental/vision, life insurance, 401K, PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum age 21.
• At least 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last 3 years.
• Safe driving record and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Ability to secure loads with straps (no tarping).
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required
