Job summary

FedEx Freight is hiring for a CDL A driver role responsible for picking up and delivering freight between Service Centers and customers. You will support the selling process and maintain safety through pre-trip inspections and compliant documentation.

Applicants must meet DOT regulations, drive safe, and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to optimize service and expand opportunities where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A CDL with required endorsements and a clean MVR.
• Experience meeting Department of Transportation regulations.
• Ability to verify and complete required freight documentation.
• Comfort with basic math and operational safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer and perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers, secure freight, and use pallet equipment.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers to coordinate pick-ups and deliveries.
• Assist sales with identifying additional business opportunities when possible.
• Comply with all applicable laws and company policies.
