Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a professional CDL driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers. This role requires performing pre-trip inspections, securing cargo, and maintaining accurate documentation while complying with DOT regulations.

Position includes opportunities for linehaul duties and mileage pay; health and retirement benefits are available. The job may involve driving in various weather conditions and interacting with customers to solicit additional business.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with double/triple, hazardous materials and tank endorsements; automatic transmission restriction allowed.
• One (1) year experience within the most recent three years or successful completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must possess acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and meet DOT regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer or straight trucks and perform daily pre-trip inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and secure freight inside trailers.
• Maintain required documentation and comply with hazardous materials regulations.
• Drive safely across various weather conditions and communicate with dispatch about delays or issues.
