Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A licensed truck driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers. You will support the selling process and ensure on-time, accurate shipments.

Responsibilities include performing pre-trip inspections, securing loads, handling freight with appropriate equipment, and complying with DOT regulations. The role requires safety-conscious driving and good communication with dispatch and customers.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• One year driving experience within the last three years or successful completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards and meet DOT regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations (including doubles/triples where applicable).
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from tractor/trailer.
• Move freight using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, and rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Comply with hazmat regulations and procedures.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers about pick-ups, deliveries, and additional business opportunities.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
